Music Study

This app has recently gone through a bit of a transformation. It used to be a paid app, but is now freemium. You can subscribe for extra features, but the basic version also has a lot to love.

At it’s core, it’s a work sheet creator. Similar to the kind that Sibelius and Finale have had for many years. The difference here is that you have full control over what content you want on your pages. This isn’t just a library of documents.

It’s also super easy to do. Music Study uses a concept called Fragments. Little blocks of music stuff you can throw on a page to build up you worksheets. So there’s very little fiddling around like you might expect in a full notation or document type app.

These fragments include things like guitar chord charts, grand staff with key signatures, text, titles, keyboard diagrams, and even empty fretboards for guitar students.

Then once you’re all done you can share it via PDF, a .mustud document to your colleagues, or even print it. A number of paper sizes are supported and you can change things like Fragment Spacing and margins.

You can get it here.
